I hope all you guys take plenty of pictures and videos and post them for all of us to see. I would also love to have a few of those that make it to the game write an article to tell us about your trip and game experiences etc .

Hojer, are you interested if they organize a river cruise like they did when we met Denver?

Oh yes, I'll be there.  Let's see if we can't make it 2 for 2 for the 9ers at Wembley!

Definitely, yes! I remember your description of the last one clearly and it sure sounds like something we want to try out as well!

Well, I can't imagine they will not have some kind of "NFL on location" event again so I have signed up for their newsletter  ;)

I can't help it either  ;D

Since the Vikings and Steelers will meet at Wembley in September I think there could actually be more 49er fans present than if it was the only game.....

Any idea who is among the most popular teams over there, or a top 3-5?

By the number of jerseys spotted previous years I don't think there is any doubt the Patriots are the most popular.

I saw a report when they opened up the international series ranking where we were 4th after the Patriots, Dolphins and Eagles.....
I think the Bears, Giants and Steelers are up there as well.

The report also mentioned that the most popular teams were teams which were dominating in the 80s when the NFL was nationally recognized in the UK for the first time....perhaps the Patriots is the exception to the rule

As great as we were in the 80's 4th after that Fins, Eagles, Pats?  :o

Our fan base will grow after this game.

Judging by jerseys in London I would say the 49ers are up there with the Pats and Steelers.  I never saw a lot of Dolphin fans to be honest. Quite a few Cowboys though, unfortunately.

There's only a few you almost never see: Cards, Jags, Panthers and Seahawks I don't think I've ever seen the three times I've been over there for Football.

You obviously haven't been to the tailgate parties at "the Green Man" pub at Dagmar Avenue  ;)

I have seen plenty of Fitzgerald and Shaun Alexander jerseys in the crowd up there but you are right, I can't recall ever seing a Jaguars jersey......

The Dolphins were plenty represented when they opened the International Series against the Giants even though they went into the game with a 0-7 record  8)

I don't doubt it but I wasn't at Wembley the first time. And you're right about the Green Man. I was only there once and I was mostly staring at a TV set because Liverpool and Man U. were playing ;)

Great idea. I think we might chose to stay for the whole week-end this time so it should be easier than normal to arrange.

I am hoping to do the same. Usually they have autograph signings during the week (mostly Thursday) at various locations. This year they have Marcel Dareus from the Bills(?) coming to a Nike Store and when we played the Broncos they had a 49ers event at a school.

Here’s something we think you should know about the vast majority of the 85,000 or so people in attendance at London’s Wembley Stadium next Sunday when the Patriots take on the Rams in the league’s latest attempt to bolster its presence worldwide.

“To be honest, do the people here really know who Aaron Rodgers is? I’d say no,” London Daily Express NFL correspondent Andrew Elliott told PFW in a transcontinental phone conversation just hours after it was revealed at the fall owners’ meeting Oct. 16 in Chicago that London would be doubling its pro football pleasure with two NFL games at Wembley Stadium in 2013 — Vikings-Steelers (Sept. 29), in addition to a previously announced 49ers-Jaguars game (Oct. 27), the first of four overseas games in the next four years featuring Shahid Khan’s Jaguars.

Know who Aaron Rodgers is?   It depends on how you define that.......

We are not as used to seing the players without their uniforms and helmets over here so they could probably go largely unnoticed in public without everyone realizing who they are........except perhaps for a guy like Rodgers who I am sure would be recognized eventually. <

We don't see NFL players in commercials like the discount double check either  :P

Back in 1993 I went to Berlin to watch the Vikings play the Bills in a preseason game (after Roger Craig joined the Vikings) and the Bills and Vikings players could go around unnoticed back then. Roger Craig looked surprised when I stopped him and asked for an autograph on a poster I brought along  :)

I think it is an ignorant statement from the NFL correspondent!  >:(

As soon as tickets go on sale (no idea when that will be) I'm grabbing four. My buddy, also a Niner fan, and I will be there to Red the place up. Unfortunately we'll be bringing our girlfriends, a Bears and Seahawks fan respectively. But I'm sure we can talk them into cheering for the Niners. After all, it will be a long a swim back if they don't!

Possible and presently happy... at least on my end, though that may be because the Niners won and I'm simply beaming in the role of the pompous gloater.  I'll be heading in from Germany. Get some time in London town and get to watch some American Football. Can't beat it!

Albert Breer reports from London, where football is still taking a backseat to other sports. But, how much longer will that last?

People still come from all over Europe for this. Last night at the "Pride of Paddington" - our usual pub - we met people from Sweden, Switzerland, Germany coming for the game in large numbers.....

A disturbing and annoying rise in the number of Giants jerseys and caps though  :P
