Why Blackburn?

I hated Man. United they acted like the Yankees.  Years ago, Blackburn was pretty bad.  Then they got better.  Last year in the top six. This year not as well top ten .  I like the rose too.   I love soccer and went to the World Cup at Stanford.  Brazil was great to watch.  I love the fans from Brazil.

Brazil is just a soccer-crazy nation all the way  ;). Chelsea and Abramovich makes Steinbrenner and the Yankees look like penny-pinching amatuers and Man U have tried their best to follow suit. Soccer salaries are insane......  I'll keep my fingers crossed for Blackburn (except when they play Liverpool)

Grid - My two favorite team are Blackburn and whomever is play Man United.  Have you gone to the World Cup yet??  I saw the own goal by the Colombians.  The guy later got killed.  They take their sports seriously down there.  Brazil is my adopted team.  I watch the kids in the Olympics at Stanford then the men in the World Cup at Stanford Center 25 rows up.

I have never been to the World Cup although the chance was there when they played in Germany - which is only a few hours away - last year. The way some cultures define themselves by sports is just mind-boggling. I remember the Colombian own goal all right and the murder of the player who scored it. There was also the incident at the cricket world cup where the coach of Pakistan was killed after a defeat to a suspected inferior team from Ireland.

Brazil in the World Cup must have been an amazing experience in '94.....like any year  ;)

Grid - July 4th 1994 USA 0 vs Brazil 1.  It was a great match.  Watching Brazil at stanford was great. Romário was a special player.
