49ers v Broncos, Wembley 2010
gridiron49:
Just came home from London. Sadly missed all Disers at the game thought I did meet Cains who wrote in here some time back though ;) After a good night's sleep I expect to write a bit about the weekend and post some pics.
For those who are interested I expect to post some on facebook and the rest of my travel group and I have agreed that we shall make our picks available on FB so we can "borrow" from each other. So the number of pics will probably increase over a couple of days. My FB name is Kim E. Sorensen if you are interested
Great to come home with a win and I am now 4-3 attending 49er games!

I have a better record than you Grid, I'm 1-0 ;D
I missed out on most of the pre-game stuff because we flew over Sunday morning. Even the Tailgate party was closed when we arrived at the stadium. So sadly no Cheerleader pics from me :'(
Michelle Williams' performance of the Star Spangled Banner was awesome. Made the hair stand on the back of my neck. Great start. It went downhill from there, starting with Jeff Becks version of God Save the Queen. What a travesty.
As all who survived the first half of the game will agree to it was a painfull experience but a steady intake of Carlsberg helped us through it. The 4th. was a blast though. Great to feel excited over the 49ers again for a change.
Back at the hotelbar we watched the 2nd. half of the Pats-Vikings game and continued the intake of beer. I ended up alone in the bar with a diehard 49er fan from Manchester in the wee hous of the morning as the Brits would say. A lot of insightful and intelligent things were said about life in general and the 49ers in particular helped along by an increasingly unneccesary intake of Fosters. You gotta try something new once in awhile :)
commoncents:
I have a worse record. 0-2...Damn Falcons... :(

Goodell believes it's realistic for NFL to expand to Europe
http://www.nfl.com/international/story/09000d5d81bb53b2/article/goodell-believes-its-realistic-for-nfl-to-expand-to-europe-
Goodell would not give any hints about a timeline for putting a team in London, "other than as fast as is practical."
"Once we've got the logistics, which I think we have, then it's just a question of the growth of the marketplace," Goodell said. "And that's where we believe playing multiple games will demonstrate that there is a strong foundation for American football. Fans want to see it, there are partners that will support it. ... And when you can get to that point, I think you've given yourself a great deal of confidence that a franchise here would be successful."
