Just booked hotel and the flight to London. :) It feels like being a kid before Christmas again and it sure is a long wait 'til October 31st!

See you at the Green Man at 1500 hours  8)

...which is quite an impressive amount I'm sure :)

Following your advice, I plan to leave my location a secret but I hope we manage to meet up at The Green Man this time. Lot's of red jerseys this time I think...

The 'convening' is scheduled to take place in my hotel room. Hence the secrecy...

Any idea where to get good ticket prices for this game?  Ebay only has a few and they're on the higher end.
10.25.09 Houston LB Zac Diles: "I was like, '11?' It's been so long since he's had any game time that we didn't even scout him last week. Everybody was like, 'New quarterback.' I was like, 'Smith? Smith?' I had to remember his first name, too. Alex Smith"

I think we pay aro. £120 for so-called Club-Wembley seats. Ebay seems like the obvious place to go for tickets now - I really don't know where else to look. Maybe outside the Stadium 5 minutes before kick-off ;)

What do you consider "the higher end"?

Were the 49ers' current stadium situation and expectations of a better team among the reasons the 49ers were selected for their second international regular-season game since 2005?

Aiello: "The 49ers have a big following in the UK and agreed to host the game there this year. As I am sure you know, John York is the chairman of the league's International Committee and is very supportive of our International Series of regular-season games."

It's going to be Red & Gold all over the place in London come October 31st! Hopefully it really will feel as a home game for the home team this time around.

Singletary heading to London this month
http://blogs.sacbee.com/49ers/archives/2010/07/singletary-head.html

Big Ben. Westminster Abbey. Samurai Mike. All three icons will be in the same city later this month as Mike Singletary heads to the UK to help promote the 49ers' Oct. 31 game against the Broncos at Wembley Stadium. Singletary will arrive on the 17th and spend the next two days meeting with the British media and touring London.

Does he ever take any time off?  I just hope he does not burn out as he has been going hard from day one.  This is suppose to be his down time getting ready for the start of a very long stressful season.

NFL coaches finally enjoy the down time that doesn't need to be so rare
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2010/writers/ross_tucker/06/25/mailbag/index.html?xid=Fanhouse

With most NFL teams having concluded their offseason programs, the focus and concern of most organizations will now turn to the down time of their players, hoping they stay out of trouble and remain in tip-top shape before reporting to training camp next month. But what about the other key employees in football operations, most notably the coaches?

I think Singletary is aware of the wear and tear

York Expects London to Get Behind 49ers
http://www.csnbayarea.com/07/17/10/York-Expects-London-to-Get-Behind-49ers/landing.html?blockID=273003&feedID=2539

The 49ers surrender a regular-season home game in October to take part in the NFL's international series. But owner John York envisions a decided home-crowd advantage even if the game is not played at Candlestick Park.

My usual group of 4 (Bucs, Gurls, Broncos and myself) will have 2 additions this year. I know one of them is a Rams fan (apparently they are not mythical creatures after all)

My bro (another Gurl-fan) and myself will be joined by an NFL virgin this year. He doesn't even know which team to root for he just would like to experience the NFL and the new Wembley Stadium.

I am sure your influence will mean he is on "our side" come kickoff  ;)  Just tell him rooting for the away team will get him in trouble  ;D
